The successor to our wildly popular Jingdezhen Spring Gaiwan, our new Spring Gaiwan is handcrafted in Dehua, Fujianfrom paper-thin, high-fired porcelain. Finished with a thin, hand-painted cerulean line along the rims of the lid, body, and saucer, this elegant vessel paysmodern tribute to the famed “blue and white”qinghuaporcelain style of the Ming Dynasty.
The pure white porcelain provides anideal visual background for appreciating tea, while the masterful thinness of the material offers a wonderfully precise pour. A sibling to our more rounded Summer Gaiwan, the Spring version is tallerand more angular, presenting a slightly more formal silhouette. Thevessel’s footnestles perfectly into the stately saucerbeneath.
Pair with our matching Ming Server andMing Tasting Cups for a complete gongfu-style tea set; also included in our Pinnacle Collection.
