Our Osmanthus Black offers an instantly captivating infusion of chocolatey Wuyi Mountain black tea and tropical osmanthus flowers, for an irresistibly balanced and fruity profile reminiscent of mango and honey.
Osmanthus flowers are impossibly small, making cultivation quite difficult. As a result, the majority of osmanthus black teas are actually produced by spraying low-grade tea leaves with an artificial osmanthus flavoring chemical, thereby reducing production cost. Unfortunately, this results in a low quality product with an unnaturally cloying taste and questionable impacts on health.
With our own Osmanthus Black, we take the opposite approach, blending premium Chinese black tea leaves with whole osmanthus flowers. The result is a far more subtle and complex blended tea that is as clean and natural as it is delicious.

1g per 1oz at 180F for 2m This is our favorite way to brew most black teas, since the moderate water temperature and brew time increase sweetness and texture while limiting astringency. If you prefer a more intense brew, try increasing your water temperature. To further highlight sweetness (particularly with our mi xiang crops), reduce water temperature while increasing brew time.
