Part of our Song Kiln Collection, this Taiwanese-style cha chengis inspired by the celadon wareof the Song Dynasty’s ImperialRu Kiln.
Handcrafted from darkclay and glazed with classic Ru-style celadon, this unique tea traywas commissioned from Taiwanese ceramicist Xu De Jia. With a removable pot restin the center, this tray elevates your brewing vessel and provides an elegant way to manage runoff water and excess tea leaves.
The shape of the traybrings to mind lotuspetals, while the blue-green celadon is slightly under-fired to create a smooth, satiny feel. This traditional style of glaze replicates the work from the renowned Song dynasty Ru Kiln. A complex web of craquelurecovers the tray. Barely visible when new, these lines will deepen in color with use.
