Part of our Song Kiln Collection, thispair of cups is inspired by the celadon wareof the Song Dynasty’s ImperialRu Kiln.

Stately and refined in form, these lotus-motif cups were crafted by nationally acclaimedTaiwanese master ceramicist, Xu De Jia. Sold as a pair, the cupsfeatureMr. Xu’ssignature blue-green glaze on a darkclay body.

As with all of our celadon pieces in the Song Kiln Collection, these Lotus Cups are covered with a web of craquelure: hairline cracks in the glaze that will darken with use. This natural patina is an especially prized characteristic of fine celadon, and adds to the pot’s aesthetic appeal as every pot is different.
