How to Use

On/Off: Press the knob once

F / C:Toggle the F / C switch on the back of the base

The current unit of measurement (F / C) will display at the bottom of the screen.

Adjust Temperature: Rotate the knob until target temperature is displayed

The Stagg EKG can be set to any temperature between104-212F(40-100C).After setting a temperature, your target temperature will display in small type at the top of the screen; the current temperature will displayin large type in the middle of the screen.

Temperature Hold:Toggle the “Hold” switch on the back of the base

When temperature hold is activated, the screen will display “HOLD” at the top and the temperature will be maintained for up to 1 hour.

If hold mode is off, your kettle will reach the set temperature, stay there for 5 minutes, then stop heating and go into standby for 15 minutes before turning off.

Brew Timer:Press and holdknobto begin; press knob once to cancel

When starting the brew timer, the screen will count down for 3 seconds before beginning to time your brew.

As with all electrical appliances, improper use of this kettle may result in fire, electrocution, burn, or permanent damage to the kettle. It is critical that you follow ALLsafety instructions outlined in the documentation providedwith the kettle, including but not limited to the following:

– NEVER PLACE AN EMPTY KETTLE ON THE BASE WHILE IT IS POWERED ON – Heating the kettle without water presents a risk of fire and/or permanent damage to the kettle.

– NEVERfill the kettle above the “MAX” level, indicated inside the kettle.
-ONLYheat the kettle if there is at least one inch of water inside
-ONLY use the kettle as intended with a grounded, 120V outlet

– NEVERopen the lid or place fingers over steam vent while the kettle is hot,as this presents a risk of burn.
