Xin Ren Xiang is often translated as “Almond Fragrance,” though the aromatic character of the tea is quite floral, more akin to almond blossoms. As with our entire selection of Phoenix oolongs, Xin Ren Xiang was harvested from a 950+ meter grove on Wudong Mountain. This renowned cultivaris an authentic example of this region’s unique tea culture.
Traditional nong xiang oxidation, at around 25%, gives this tea a rich sweetness and complexity that captivates the palate and lingers on the back of the tongue.

1g per 1oz at 210F for 30s Delicious and utterly captivating when brewed well, Phoenix Oolongs are susceptible to high tannin levels, which can result in an astringent texture. To control this, we recommend a flash brewing method, which means a high water temperature and very short infusion time. This fast, high-temperature brewing method quickly extracts aroma and flavor before the tea has time to release excess bitterness or astringency.
